Following the acquisition of Triodos Assurantiën in 2009, the discussion about sustainability gained momentum. In Meijers’ opinion, the challenge to make insurance more sustainable can be found primarily in making the flow of money more sustainable. A certain volume is an essential aspect of this. We are working on a model in which premium flows are made through sustainable investment funds. Another focus is to make damage repair more sustainable. We take the initiative to work jointly with insurers, partners within the sector and clients on insurance advice, concepts and products that are in line with sustainable business practises and a sustainable way of living. We are pragmatic in our intentions. We realise that the path to entirely sustainable insurance products is long and complicated and it's even the question wether that goal is 100% achievable.
